Start and Finish your ride at the Sintra Train Station. Enjoy a 35km challenging and exceptionally beautiful ride in a historic world heritage site, through small villages and past palatial manor homes. Explore Sintra from a bike saddle and:
- Ride under a lush green canopy, past fine Romantic era manor houses.
- Have a chance to visit to the old monastery of Capuchos, hidden in the woods.
- Optionally visit Cabo da Roca, the western-most point of continental Europe!
- Choice to have a light lunch while enjoying stunning views over the Atlantic ocean.
- Option to stroll the mysterious, exotic gardens of Monserrate.
- Sample some of Sintra's wonderful and justly famous pastries.
What to Bring
Wear comfortable riding clothes and shoes with a firm sole & layered clothes rather than heavy jackets. Padded cycling Shorts are ideal and recommended. We can supply SPD pedals for all SPD compatible cleats. In summer time, bring sunscreen and a light wind-breaker. Don't forget your camera! Helmets are required & provided by us.

We had a wonderful day biking trip in the Sintra area. Our guide, did a great job in planning our biking route according to our wishes and fitness level. We very much recommend doing this biking trip with a guide as you get so much more information and you get to see places you might not do otherwise. We had lunch in a wonderful outdoor cafe with the most fantastic view over the Atlantic Coast. On the way back to Sintra we visited a very interesting monastry. If you go to Sintra, we really recommend you to do a day biking trip.
