Day to DayDay 1 - Alicante
Alicante, on Spain’s southeastern Mediterranean coast, is famed for its rich history, beautiful beaches, and blend of modern and traditional Spanish culture. This Valencian Community capital attracts a vibrant tourist influx each summer. Day 2 - Alicante to Finestrat, ride of 48 km
To leave Alicante, you'll start along coastal paths, including the Via Verde de la Cantera, bypassing traffic for the initial kilometers. The first third of the route is mostly flat, hugging the coast. After El Campello, you head inland and gradually climb toward a scenic plateau. A quiet, narrow road with beautiful hill views leads you to Finestrat, ending on a well-paved approach.
Day 3 - Finestrat to Xaló, ride of 52 km
Today’s route is more demanding but rewarding. Departing Finestrat, you’ll follow bike paths through La Nucia and then tackle scenic, winding climbs after Callosa d'en Sarrià, heading toward Tarbena. The day’s highlight is the iconic Coll de Rates, leading to a beautiful descent into Parcent and ending in Xaló.
Day 4 - Xaló to Bernia and Calp, loop ride of 65 km
The ride begins with a challenging 10 km climb up the Sierra de Bernia from Xaló. After reaching the summit, enjoy a thrilling descent to the coast, first steep, then easing into a gentle slope toward Calp - a perfect spot for lunch by the beach. The day concludes with a varied road return to Xaló.
Day 5 - Xaló to Vall de Laguar and Pedreguer, loop ride of 59 km
The first 15 km lead inland on smooth roads before turning onto a quiet, challenging back road. After a rewarding climb, a steep descent begins - be cautious on sharp turns. Passing Benimaurell, the gradient eases, revealing a striking dry landscape. As you approach Pedreguer, you’ll find orange groves and options for a lunch break before an easy final stretch back to Xaló.
Day 6 - Xaló to Gandía, ride of 52 km
Day 7 - Platja de Gandía to Valencia, ride of 62km
