Many routes lead to Santiago, but the most popular cycling trail and for some the most sacred, is the Camino Francés, along the North of Spain, and that is the route you will closely follow on this exciting 7 day bicycle journey. |
Day to DayDay 1 - León
Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing in this incredible city and remember to get your credencial stamped at the Albergue - the Pilgrims Hostel! Day 2 - León to Astorga
61 km / 38 mi An easy first days ride passing fields of hops along the Obrigo river to Astorga with its flamboyant neo gothic Palacio de Gaudi.
Day 3 - Astorga to Cacabelos
74 km / 46 mi Today the way is dotted with many small hamlets containing the ruins of pilgrim hospitals, churches and monasteries as a consequence, it's here that the "feeling" of the Camino is at its strongest.
Day 4 - Cacabelos to O Cebreiro
38 km / 24 mi A long climb today into the Montes of Galícia before reaching your night's destination, the mystical little hamlet of O Cebreiro.
Day 5 - O Cebreiro to Portomarin
69 km / 43 mi A lovely ride through the rolling green hills of the Galician countryside but no long climbs.
Day 6 - Portomarin to Arzua
65 km / 41 mi As we get closer to Santiago, we’ll see more and more pilgrims anxious to reach their final destination just as you are.
Day 7 - Arzua to Santiago
46 km / 29 mi Take heart - the end is in sight! Today's ride is a short one in order to give you more time in Santiago.
Day 8 - Buen camino!
